Smuggling of weapons foiled
JAZAN — The Border Guards on Monday foiled an attempt to smuggle 48 guns and 60 bags of hashish. The guards spotted a group of Yemenis crossing the border on foot and fired warning shots. The Yemenis retreated, leaving behind the bags containing arms and drugs.

Fire in a car cargo office
JAZAN — The Civil Defense controlled a fire that started in a car cargo office in Sabya in Jazan region. The fire started in the office of the cargo company and destroyed all documents. Cars parked in the courtyard of the premises were not damaged. Early investigations revealed that the fire may have started because of an electrical fault.

Three people were killed and three others injured when a car driving at high speed overturned on the Dhulam-Taif Expressway. Civil Defense and ambulance teams rushed to the accident site and found three people dead. Air ambulance teams rushed the injured to King Abdulaziz Hospital.
