JEDDAH — Police in Jeddah apprehended a man in his 20s for impersonating a Saudi and renting out a car to smuggle it outside the Kingdom. A car rental office notified the police that the man had rented a car but had not returned it.

Madinah imam’s car stolen
MADINAH — The car of Sheikh Ali Al-Hudhaifi, imam of the Prophet’s Mosque, was stolen from in front of his house. Spokesman for Madinah police Col. Fahd Al-Ghannam said Al-Hudhaifi notified police that his car, which was bought in 1999, had been stolen. He said the car was old and not used by him. A search is under way for the missing car.

HAIL — The Civil Defense in Hail rescued a family of five in Al-Nufud desert, north of Al-Khuttah. They called for help after their car was trapped in the sand. Spokesman for Hail Civil Defense Cap.
