Highway police arrest liquor smuggler
WADI DAWASIR — Highway patrol police arrested a Saudi who was smuggling liquor from Riyadh to Najran. The officers grew suspicious of a vehicle driven by a citizen in his 30s. On searching the vehicle, they found 34 bottles of liquor carefully hidden inside. The suspect was handed over to concerned bodies for action.

Canteen pie poisons 70 pupils in Al-Kharj
AL-KHARJ — About 70 secondary school students were poisoned after allegedly eating rotten pie from the school canteen. Head of Al-Kharj Education Directorate Zaid Al-Jelaifi said the students were rushed to King Khalid Hospital as a precautionary measure. Most of the students were released after treatment, but five them remain hospitalized.
