RIYADH — The District Court in Riyadh has sentenced a Yemeni resident to five years in prison and 500 lashes for blackmailing a woman. The woman had notified police that the Yemeni was blackmailing her and threatening to expose her to her family. Police arrested the Yemeni, who confessed to the incident.

Sudanese resident assaulted in Asir
ABHA — A Sudanese man was assaulted and robbed by two men on Tuesday. The attackers forced their victim to ride in their vehicle, took him to a nearby valley and stole his wallet and mobile phone.
